Overall goal

To strengthen organizational capacity in communication, information, dissemination and advocacy for a good corporate image and self sustenance

Activities

  1. Developing advocacy initiatives for addressing vulnerability among various groups in the community
  2. Improving and maintaining URCS corporate image through publishing its services in various media and providing feedback from the public to service providers for action -Improving networking systems and build partnerships to make use of the existing expertise within and outside the Red Cross movement
  3. Develop an advocacy strategy -Build the Society’s capacity to do advocacy work at all levels
  4. Build the community’s capacity to advocate for and address the needs of the most vulnerable -Promote advocacy activities throughout the Society.
  5. Strengthen the public relations function at all levels in the society.
  6. Influence the Government to facilitate URCS auxiliary role of information on Red Cross ideals.
  7. Develop promotional materials and disseminate to target agencies and the public
  8. Strengthen publicity for URCS activities at all levels -Develop and implement result oriented co-operation strategies in order to improve partnership and networking at all level.
  9. Build the capacity of the Society at all levels through knowledge transfers.
  10. Strengthen linkages and collaboration with Government structures in service delivery.
  11. Strengthen dissemination of information on Red Cross activities at all levels.Enhance capacity at all levels to disseminate information on International Humanitarian Law, emblem, principles and ideals of Red Cross at all levels
